Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

Incumbent consults with departments to determine their computing needs related to HAIS services specific to Perioperative and Biomedical Device Integration, including coordination, planning and scheduling of work assignments and training. Coordinates all projects with department heads and project leads. Provides assistance on a variety of computing issues to faculty, staff, and students on an individual and / or group level. Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to support services. Participates in the evaluation, development and documentation of hardware and software standards for the Medical Center. Responsible to effectively supervise a group of HAIS unit employees.

Required Qualifications :

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends including possible overtime during Go-Lives
• Working knowledge of wireless network configurations and limitations related to a clinical environment
• Demonstrated supervisory skills
• Understanding of Networking terminologies
• Extensive experience with Windows Operating Systems
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple departments including IT and external vendors / customers
• Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities
• Demonstrated experience with completing projects and acting as a project manager / lead
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to actively seek and troubleshoot problems and issues
• Prior experience supporting and configuring BioMedical Devices and interfacing to documentation systems such as Allscripts, Epic or Cerner
• Knowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer system
• Working knowledge of integration middleware such as Capsule, DeviceConX and Corepoint
• Minimum two years experience with Clinical Informatics and Biomedical Device Integration
• Experience with various deployment systems such as Microsoft SCCM
• Ability to apply logical troubleshooting, documentation and analysis techniques for the purpose of Problem and Incident resolution
• Must be willing to participate in on call duties that would extend outside normal business hours
• Knowledge of ITIL and Best Practices as it relates to the healthcare environment
