Accounts Receivable Specialist

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Key Responsibilities Research claims and obtain additional insurance information through communication with patients, hospitals, and insurance companies Follow up on unpaid claims and maintain workflow to minimize aging accounts Document account activity and perform quality checks on assigned claims Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare claims processing, billing, or accounts receivable Hands-on experience with insurance appeals and understanding of remittance advices and denial codes Familiarity with ICD-10, HCPCS, and general medical terminology Proficiency with billing software and payer portals
