About The Position

Job Title : MS / Tele Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required

License : Valid state license required at the time of submission

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

• Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Large orthopedic program experience (total joints), colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Patient ratio experience of 5 : 1.

Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse.

This position requires expertise in a variety of nursing procedures and protocols.

Candidates must be able to manage and monitor patients with various diagnoses.

Duties include care for patients with diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, and general surgery cases.

Successful candidates will have experience in telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias.

The role includes accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and overseeing central line care.

Candidates should be skilled in chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, and pre / post hemodialysis management.

Experience with high flow nasal cannula and tracheostomy care is also necessary.

Every other weekend coverage is required, along with floating within the skill set.

Additional responsibilities include wound care and use of rapid response / code teams.

Travelers must be willing to comply with patient care protocols and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Experience with telemetry equipment and monitoring is essential.

Candidates should possess strong critical thinking and communication skills.

This role requires the ability to collaborate with various support services including respiratory, social services, and pharmacy.
