About the Unit :

21 Beds

Number of Staff : 45

1 Charge RN per shift with no patient assignment, 6-8 nurses per shift

Ratios : 2 : 1 ICU standard nurse to patient ration, unless patient is step down status, then 3 : 1, if very high acuity 1 : 1

Type of Equipment : Hospira IV Pumps

EMR : Meditech

Must Have :

Vasopressor IV drip titration, ventilator management

Care of Sepsis, arrhythmias, med / surg critical care patients

Typical Procedures Performed on Unit :

Intubation, central line insertion

Bronchoscopy, endoscopy

Required to work every 3rd weekend, one major Holiday
