ICU RN Travel Job Details

Location : Laurinburg, NC 28352 (Southeastern North Carolina)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : ICU / PCU (7-bed unit)

Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Nurse, On-Site

Orientation : 16 hours

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,650–$1,770

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of North Carolina or Compact RN license)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required

Previous charge nurse experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CPI preferred)

Experience with Epic electronic charting system preferred

Proficiency with arterial lines (ART lines) and EKG interpretation

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Two professional references from nursing supervisors within the last two years

ICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients in the ICU / PCU

Manage patient ratios of 2-3 : 1, ensuring safe and effective clinical care

Float to other hospital units as needed

Perform and assist with procedures including arterial line management, chest tube insertion / removal, and ventilator management

Interpret EKGs and arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Administer emergency medications, blood products, and titrate cardiac / vasoactive drips

Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure, post-cardiac surgery, and acute stroke management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic
