Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for helping others? LeachGarner is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to support our manufacturing and office teams based both onsite and remote. In this role, you’ll be a critical part of ensuring our production lines stay connected, our systems run smoothly, and our products get out the door on time.
What you'll do :
Under direct supervision of the Network Administrator, you will provide support including solutions to hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Providing IT related support in person, over the phone, or via remote access to employees
- Installing, upgrading and repairing hardware and software
- Diagnosing issues with computer software, peripherals, and hardware
- Providing answers to users by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding employees through corrective steps
- Running software diagnostic tools and physically inspecting hardware systems
- Guiding employees through basic problem-solving processes
- Following up with employees to ensure complete resolution of issues
- Managing helpdesk tickets and maintaining service level standards
- Providing basic computer training to employees
- Supporting VoIP system and factory wireless devices
- Troubleshooting and fixing network wiring and connectivity issues
- Assisting with additional IT-related tasks to support company goals
Hours : Monday - Thursday 6am - 4 : 30pm onsite
What you bring :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in Help Desk or IT Support rolesStrong hands-on experience with Windows desktop / workstation operating systems (installation, configuration, reimaging, troubleshooting)Proven ability supporting cloud-based IT services , including :Microsoft 365 (O365) – user provisioning, mailbox configuration, Teams support, SharePoint access management
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms – deployment, monitoring, and first-level incident handlingProficient in managing and resolving support tickets using help desk software and remote access toolsDeep understanding of network fundamentals – including basic troubleshooting of network connectivity, VoIP, and wireless devicesExcellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skillsHigh-level written and verbal communication skillsCustomer-focused mindset with the ability to handle stressful situations calmlyEagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies quicklyThe following skills will help you thrive in our fast-paced, manufacturing-focused IT environment :
Microsoft 365 Administration – including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and SharePointEndpoint Protection Expertise – experience with EDR / XDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, or CrowdStrike FalconAzure Active Directory (AAD) – familiarity with user management and Conditional Access policiesVoIP Systems Support – hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining voice systemsNetwork Infrastructure Knowledge – basic understanding of cabling, switches, and connectivityMobile Device Management (MDM) – preferably using Microsoft IntuneManufacturing & Logistics IT Experience – supporting wireless devices and systems in warehouse or production environmentsSome domestic travel required : approximately up to 25%
This role operates in a manufacturing facility where conditions may include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position involves walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials.
