Position Purpose
Supports the district’s technology-based instructional applications, assessment applications, and digital textbooks. Contributes to the development of short- and long-range plans for the integration of technology-based instructional applications to support student learning and teacher instructional practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Systems Coordination
- Provides support for deployment of Districtwide technology-based instructional applications, assessment applications, and digital textbooks as a key component of core instruction.
- Evaluates and manages configuration and integration of Districtwide technology-based applications and digital textbooks in the District’s application portal.
- Coordinates with Division of Technology and program staff on user rosters and access / roles for technology-based instructional applications and digital textbooks; maintains updates throughout the year including rosters and user access / roles for summer school.
- Performs account and access cleanup at beginning and end of school year.
- Collaborates with Division of Technology in the deployment and support of digital textbooks in the District’s learning management system (LMS).
- Collaborates with Division of Technology Help Desk to provide one-on-one issue resolution over the phone, via email, and ticketing system for District stakeholders.
- Collaborates with other Division of Technology and Curriculum & Instruction staff to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to districtwide technology-based instructional applications and digital textbooks.
- Collaborates with Curriculum Policy and cross-functional teams in evaluation and selection of digital textbooks materials.
- Assists in the development of reports and other documents to communicate implementation metrics.
Training and Development
Positively communicate the role of the technology-based instructional applications and digital textbooks to stakeholders.Creates and maintains documentation such as user guides, reports, standard operating procedures, instructions, memos, and videos for the purpose of ensuring clear expectation of activities, written reference material(s) and / or conveying to all District stakeholders as needed.Provides leadership and technical expertise to District personnel in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and effective use of technology-based instructional applications throughout the District.Collaborates with the department on the development and implementation of a comprehensive staff development plan for the use of technology-based assessment applications.Safety
Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities
