Salary : $42,000+ annually DOE

Position Overview

Camp Fire Central Oregon is seeking a creative, organized, and hands-on STEAM Program Coordinator to lead the planning and delivery of robotics, engineering, and nature-based youth programs. This full-time role is responsible for designing engaging STEAM experiences, managing program logistics, and providing onsite leadership for afterschool robotics, No School Day Camps, and summer STEAM programs. The Coordinator also helps integrate STEAM learning across other Camp Fire offerings.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead the full cycle of assigned programs, including planning, scheduling, curriculum design, and onsite execution
  • Manage program logistics, including site setup, supplies, daily operations, and communication with families
  • Design and facilitate hands-on STEAM activities that spark creativity, critical thinking, and curiosity
  • Create inclusive routines that support youth confidence, communication, and teamwork
  • Supervise and support program staff during program hours, modeling strong leadership and collaborative teamwork
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to evaluate quality and implement improvements

Summary of Skills & Qualifications Expected

  • Experience facilitating youth programs with a focus on STEAM, hands-on learning, or project-based education
  • Ability to lead and adapt curriculum that builds foundational skills and supports positive youth development
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Experience managing program logistics such as scheduling, prep, and safety protocols
  • Supervisory or team lead experience in a school, camp, or youth development setting
  • Passion for creating inclusive environments where all youth feel safe, seen, and empowered
