Job Summary
Paradise Valley Community College is seeking a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Instructional Service Coordinator who assists on campus with the planning, development, coordination and evaluation of tutoring services and student success coaching. This position will provide lead direction in assisting STEM tutors and success coaches in the tutoring center; back support for tutoring in STEM related courses, assists with testing, and provides operational support in the Puma Tutoring Center.

Essential Functions
40% Provides lead direction for STEM tutors and success coaches in a face to face and online environment; serves as back up support for STEM tutors; assists in the planning, development, coordination, training, scheduling and evaluating of tutoring services and coaching services in the STEM courses; may assist in coordinating STEM testing collaborates with faculty to ensure reinforcement of classroom instruction collaborates with Student Services to holistically support students.
30% Provides lead supervision (daily) of content tutors and success coaches; develops, creates, delivers, and promotes contextualized study strategy workshops, content review, tutoring and coaching sessions; Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of tutors and success coaches in STEM. Promotes and develops marketing materials for the STEM program to students, faculty and staff; Creates promotional materials in various formats. Utilizes appropriate software and technology in order to execute tutoring responsibilities (MS Office, CANVAS, TutorTrac, Cranium Cafe, and / or equivalent).
25% Collaborates with faculty in the development of presentations for PTC training sessions for tutors and success coaches; observes sessions and provides feedback to staff; participates in weekly staff meetings and ongoing workshops. Prepares and maintains accurate data and analyzes and evaluates STEM program for reporting purposes; assists in preparing monthly and semesterly and academic year statistical reports on the program usage and impact.
5% Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related program area, and one year of program coordination experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
1. Two years full-time equivalency of experience in higher education teaching, tutoring, coaching, advising or testing services in the STEM disciplines
2. Two years full-time equivalency of experience in taking a collaborative role in a college learning support program or in a similar setting ( learning assistance, tutoring, academic success center).
3. Demonstrated experience facilitating training / study skills workshops in a STEM field
4. Demonstrated experience in collecting, analyzing and maintaining data for reporting purposes
5.Demonstrated experience with online systems : Google Suite (including Google Meet), TutorTrac, SIS, Canvas
6. Advanced skills using Microsoft office and specifically Excel to collect and monitor data, and in student success software
