REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

Minimum Years of Experience : Required 2 year of experience required in last 5 years

Traveler Experience : Accepts 1st time travelers

Skills :

• Must be able to take heparin drips. PCA. Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management. Blood product Administration, Central line care / management, Peripheral line care / management, phlebotomy. PICC line management, IV starts,
• Active RN license required. Management of dysrhythmias, O2 Protocol Management, Non-invasive airway management, Peripheral line care / management, Isolation Precautions / PPE, Traumatic Brain injury, ortho trauma, surgucal drains, chest tubes- Emerson / Pleuravac, Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Tracheostomy Management, Wound care.
• Epic documentation experience required.

Certs : BLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

ACLS, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management, Management of drips, CVA, Pre / Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries

JOB DETAILS :

Target Ratios : 1 : 6-7 (Must be comfortable with these ratios)

Shift : 12HR days

13-26 weeks accepted

RTO :

Float Requirement : Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding

Weekend Requirement : Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : Severe injury to the bones, joints, and / or soft tissue. Traumatic brain injuries. Spine injuries, pain. Neurological trauma / nerve damage (small population). Subdural hematoma.

UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

UNIT ORIENTATION : 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.

SCRUBS : Navy

Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
