Thales Defense & Security, Inc. has an opening for an intern within the Software Engineering department for 8 weeks during the summer of 2024. This position will be responsible for some entry level assignments that will provide exposure to the software job family. This position is located in the Aurora, IL office and reports to the Software Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

Intern will be responsible for completing the following assignments successfully

• Developing software in C for embedded Linux system that drives a helmet-mounted display.
• Expanding, maintaining, and fixing bugs in Python for the helmet-mounted display Test Suite.
• Manual testing of software systems.
• Documenting procedures and automating repeated software tasks.
