Hand Lay up Technician

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Composite Hand Lamination Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing composite layup operations to manufacture high-quality composite parts. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre - preg ply placement on open face tooling , ply orientation and material consolidation technique s. Additionally, proficiency in performing vacuum bagging, debulking and knowledge of curing operations are necessary for this role .

Responsibilities

• Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination .
• Prepare and organize composite materials in preparation for l amination .
• Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using techniques like hand layup or automated processes.
• Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation is achieve d.
• Proficiency in vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup operations .
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Basic use of computer s for documentation and record-keeping purposes .
• A ble to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions .

The target base pay for this position is $18-$20 / hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
