Job Description :

Objective : The Medical Assistant supports physicians, Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and staff in coordinating the needs of patients.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

• Ensure patient satisfaction by providing excellent patients services. Addresses patients with a compassionate, friendly and caring attitude.
• Rooms patients, accurately collect and records patients' vital statistics, allergies, medications and concerns.
• Prepares exam rooms, stocks and maintains supplies and equipment, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
• Effectively assists with prescriptions and authorizing drug refill requests.
• Triage messages, routes and relays information to staff, providers, and patients in a timely manner.
• Maintains detailed notes in patients' electronic records.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality for patients in accordance to HIPAA standards.
• Effectively maintains a professional demeanor with patients, staff, and physicians at all times.
• Back up infusion room medical assistant duties.
• Effectively performs other duties as assigned

Pay range for this position is $21.00-$24.00 per hour.
