Job Description :

Share your RVCC experience peer-to-peer! Prospective students and families love to hear from current students and learn about their experiences. Our expectation for this position is to provide excellent customer service to our guests (prospective students & their families, current students, RVCC colleagues, external colleagues, etc.).

Assist the RVCC Student Enrollment Services Team in a variety of responsibilities, which include effectively communicating general information regarding Enrollment Services procedures, such as the registration process and transcript requests by phone and in-person inquiries.

Essential Duties :

• Mail - Open mail
• Transcripts - check for seal (raised or flat), Official / Unofficial, (Place Stickers) (highlighting- Student Name, DOB, Graduation Date, NJ State ID, Weighted GPA, Class Rank, Languages taken) SAT / ACT, PARCC / NJSLA, AP Scores. Immunizations - make copy for Immunization File)
• Filing (Transcripts, Immunizations, etc.)
• Data entry in Microsoft Excel
• Prepare diplomas for mailing and pickup (adhering to the pickup procedures)
• Researching course descriptions for college transcripts
• Electronic index of transcripts to records
• Confidentiality - Following FERPA and GDPR guidelines
• Event Support for Grad Fest and Commencement including
• Set-up and breakdown
• Prepare giveaways
• Check inventory
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

Must be a current full-time or part-time RVCC student who has completed at least 1 semester.

Must be in good academic standing.

Strong customer service skills. Comfortable speaking with prospective students and their families.

Ability to work independently and to know when to ask for assistance.

Willingness to be flexible in work assignments as they will change at different points in the year.

Dress - business casual and RVCC gear for events (will be provided).

Requires sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and / or crouching, walking, and climbing.

Occasionally move and lift up to 25 pounds.

We would like someone to be available for at least 15 hours per week, but we are flexible and can make adjustments to fit your class schedule. There is a requirement to be committed to the position for one academic year (fall and spring semester). In addition, we would like you to participate in the open houses.
