Position Summary :
Samsung SDS America is seeking a detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our Security Monitoring team onsite at our New Jersey regional headquarters. The role involves monitoring and responding to detected security incidents, safeguarding computer networks from cyber threats, and documenting security breaches effectively.
This role will be working onsite in our regional headquarters in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across multiple systems and tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS / IPS, etc.)
- Investigate incidents and support triage, documentation, and escalation
- Perform basic threat hunting and vulnerability assessments
- Assist in creating and updating security documentation, policies, and playbooks
- Research and track the latest cyber threats, tactics, and vulnerabilities
- Support compliance efforts (e.g., audits, data protection initiatives)
- Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to improve security controls
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response exercises
- Create ad hoc and regular security reports
- Stay up to date on emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Create and send alerts in the event of a security breach
- Collaborate with the team on ad-hoc projects
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments
Requirements
0-1 years of experience in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics (internships and academic projects welcome)Basic knowledge on ICT (OSI 7 layer, TCP / IP, HTTP Protocol, etc.)Basic knowledge on information security (Web Hacking, DDoS, APT, etc.)Able to work during weekends and holidays on a rotation scheduleExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnStrong communicatorProactive mindsetMust be able to work in the US for any employer without restrictionsMust be willing and able to work onsite in our office in Ridgefield Park, NJ (this is not a remote positions)Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related fieldExperience with WEB / WAS vulnerability testing and / or malicious code analysisExperience with operation of SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight, etc.)Security related certificates (CISSP, CISA, CEH, etc.)Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Powershell) is a plusBenefits
