Job Description

Job Title : Cath Lab Technologist

Profession : Allied Health

Hours per Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM, 4 days / week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting, specifically in Cardiac Cath / IR

License : Valid driver's license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI

Must-Have : Experience in hospital-setting Cardiac Cath / IR for more than 3 years

Description :

Unit requires candidates to float for call to multiple campuses.

The call team covers after-hours and weekend needs.

Candidates should ideally live centrally located to ensure a 30-minute response time to their assigned campus.

Recent call demands have varied, with multiple callbacks recorded in the last month.

A driver's license is essential for determining candidate location compliance.

Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.

The department consists of 3 suites / labs, averaging 4-5 cases per day.

Common diagnoses include Compression fractures, Venous Access, Hydronephrosis, Chest Pain, Pulmonary Hypertension, Shortness of Breath, Gastric Ulcer, Pulmonary Embolism, and Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Job duties include intra-procedural circulating, supplies and medication administration, and sedation.

The charge nurse supervises the shift and may take on an assignment as well.

Self-scheduling is not allowed; schedules must be approved by the supervisor.

Weekend and holiday on-call requirements are a part of the role.

Shifts require surgical greens as the dress code.

Orientation includes unit-specific training and on-call buddy support.

The lab performs primarily Interventional Radiology procedures with additional Cardiac inpatient cases.

Candidates should consider their flexibility for floating and responding to diverse needs within the department.

RTO requests of 7 or fewer days must be specified upfront; additional time-off requests post-approval will not be accepted.

The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shift cancellations during a 13-week assignment.

The facility utilizes Epic Systems Corporation for charting and EMR.

This role does not require a BSN.
