Greet customers, check in vehicles and educate the customer on the repair process.Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage and go over the damages with technicians.Determine feasibility of repair vs.replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
Write complete and accurate estimates, invoice repairs, and order parts.Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimate and recommendations.Finalize repair tickets and follow up with insurance companies for final payment.Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, providing regular updates and estimated completion times.Desired Qualifications and Experience :
A minimum of 1 year of prior collision estimator experience is required ; familiarity with Mitchell & CCC1 estimating software preferred .Knowledgeable about insurance company guidelines.Strong customer service background with the ability to think from the customer’s perspective and show empathy for their situation.Reliable and motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude.Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.Hours and Work Environment :
This role requires working in an office environment, frequently working with technicians in our climate-controlled shop, and occasionally maneuvering around or under vehicles to assess damages.
Hours are Monday – Friday 7 : 30am to 5 : 30pm.
