We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Austin Manufacturing team for the Summer of 2025. This full-time role will provide hands-on experience in supporting manufacturing operations, analyzing production data, optimizing processes, and collaborating across departments.

The ideal candidate is a current engineering student with strong analytical skills, interest in process improvement, and a desire to learn in a real-world production environment.

The Engineering Intern will assist the engineering team in various aspects of manufacturing operations and process optimization. This role involves hands-on work with production processes, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in analyzing production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Support process optimization and troubleshooting to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Conduct routine equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance as guided by engineers.
  • Participate in the implementation of process changes and improvements.
  • Document technical data, observations, and results accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance departments.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for process or quality issues.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and progress.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support engineering projects.

Requirements :

Experience and Skills :

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.
  • Noise Level :

    The noise level can vary from moderate to low similar to production and office environment.
