Gainesville, FL 32606The Volunteer Experience Coordinator plays a critical role in creating rewarding and memorable experiences for patients, families and volunteers. With a focus on leveraging the unique skills and passions of Community Hospice volunteers, the Volunteer Experience Coordinator satisfies all requests for Volunteer Services in a timely manner.
S / he actively works with and builds positive relationships with the interdisciplinary group (IDG). This includes, but is not limited to, initiatives in recruitment, retention, appreciation, volunteer satisfaction and other activities designed to attract and retain a high quality, fully engaged volunteer base.

- Days / Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
- Compensation : $42-46K base salary plus full benefits package, including 23 days rollover PTO annual

Primary Responsibilities
Develops and coordinates engagement strategies and recruiting techniques to build a volunteer base capable of meeting the specific needs of current and developing programs.Interviews and recommends individuals for selection and onboarding as a Volunteer.Completes all volunteer pre-screening requirements as required to be compliant with all applicable standards.Identifies, contacts and assigns qualified individual(s) to fulfill requested volunteer experiences in a timely mannerConsiders unique skills, interests and passions of volunteers during the selection process to make the best possible match between patient and volunteerMakes direct contact with patients and / or family members as appropriate to identify how to best serve their volunteer needsCommunicates important details to volunteers regarding requests so they feel empowered and prepared to provide a compassionate and memorable experienceCommunicates with members of the interdisciplinary group to provide updates and status of open requestsDevelops volunteer teams dedicated to fulfilling the mission and supporting the needs of specific programsProactively works with members of the interdisciplinary group (IDG) to promote programs and create or identify new and / or additional opportunities for Volunteer placementsEngages in proactive and constant communication with Volunteer Engagement team to provide guidance on the skills and resources needed, allowing recruitment efforts to be effectively targeted in support of all volunteer programs.Sends appropriate reminders of upcoming experiences to the assigned volunteersCreates, administers and analyzes quarterly Client satisfaction surveys; draws conclusions and provides recommendations based on analysis of the data.Inactivates volunteers based on established criteria to ensure database is up to date at all timesDevelops efficient and innovative ways to communicate opportunities to the volunteer baseMeets all project / department milestones and goals on a consistent basisReviews and approves volunteer contact notesParticipates in meetings involving Volunteer Services, the IDG and others as necessaryCreates and monitors self-scheduling assignments to identify gaps in coverageUpdates the plan of care (POC) as appropriateAssists with Volunteer appreciation eventsResearches best practices in volunteer utilizationAdheres to Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s core valuesOther duties as assignedEducation & Qualifications :
Associates Degree (minimum) or equivalent combination of work experience and educationTwo+ years of recruiting, customer service, volunteer, or related experienceHospice or other not for profit and / or healthcare industry experience a plusDesired Knowledge & Skills
Recruiting / placement or related work experience preferredMotivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service ability; bility to work independentlyAbility to prioritize and organize multiple activities
