Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)
Location : Baltimore, Maryland
Shift : Day – 8 hours (7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM)
Contract Length : 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours : (As per assignment)
Pay Rate : $70–$82 / hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) to support invasive radiologic procedures within a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in vascular, body, and neurological cases and be comfortable assisting physicians in all aspects of interventional procedures.
This role requires on-call availability for a minimum of 7 days per month , including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with the performance of invasive interventional radiology procedures
- Scrub at table side, circulate during procedures, and provide direct patient care
- Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging equipment and sterile instruments
- Support vascular, body, and neurological interventional cases
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, imaging data, and patient information
- Manage and replenish inventory and supplies as needed
- Follow all safety, infection control, and radiation protection standards
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure high-quality patient care
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experienceExperience with vascular, body, and neuro interventional casesStrong understanding of sterile technique & procedural workflowsExcellent communication and patient-care skillsAbility to react calmly and effectively in high-pressure clinical situationsEducation & Certifications
Required
Associate’s degree in Radiologic TechnologyARRT certificationActive Maryland Radiologic Technologist LicenseCPR certificationPreferred
Neuro interventional experience (preferred but not required)Additional Details
