Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Cardiac Registered Nurse I, where you will play a crucial role in the assessment, planning, and delivery of exceptional nursing care for a diverse range of patients including older adolescents through geriatric patients. You'll have the opportunity to lead and mentor other nursing staff and may serve as a charge nurse within the unit. Responsibilities :
- Leadership : Uphold and exemplify the OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Patient Care Planning : Craft comprehensive nursing care plans that address the specific needs of your patients, continuously updating them in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Patient Care Provision : Execute nursing interventions and procedures as per care plans, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic care while accurately documenting your work.
- Patient Care Evaluation : Assess patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust care plans as necessary on a weekly basis to enhance patient outcomes.
- Patient Education : Assess educational needs and effectively teach patients and their families about their conditions and care plans, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing.
- Communication : Maintain clear and concise communication regarding patient conditions and care decisions with all healthcare team members.
Job Requirements :
Education : A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.Experience : 6 months to 1 year of experience as a licensed RN or as an active GN permit holder.Licenses / Certifications : BLS certification required; RN License in the state of employment or compact required; ACLS certification required.Note : Newly hired experienced RNs will complete orientation within 30 days of hire and must participate in ongoing competency verifications.
