About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Software Engineering to lead and scale its software engineering organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating high-level product and platform vision into concrete, high-velocity execution, and will work closely with the Head of Data, VP of Product, and AI / ML team to shape long-term architectural decisions. This role involves managing and mentoring a team of senior engineers, driving engineering hiring, and implementing best practices across the development process. The VP of Software Engineering will also be expected to promote clear communication, technical rigor, and fast iteration, and to ensure that engineering execution aligns with company priorities. Applicants for the VP of Software Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role at a high-growth startup or scaling tech company. A strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern development practices is essential, as is experience in managing high-performance engineering teams that build real-time or data-intensive systems. The role requires a proven ability to scale teams, mentor senior engineers, and build strong organizational foundations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating tradeoffs between speed and scalability, an excellent communicator, and passionate about building high-trust engineering cultures.
