About the Role :

Capital Asset Exchange is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Analyst to serve as a strategic right hand to our Vice President of Operations. This is a hybrid position based in Austin, Texas , ideal for an early-career professional looking to gain hands-on exposure to operational functions, financial data, and strategic projects within the investment and capital equipment sector.

This role involves supporting cross-departmental initiatives, and engaging with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a foundational background in Economics, Accounting, or Finance, and ideally brings experience or interest in investment, banking, or sales.

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Support

  • Act as a key support resource for the VP of Operations in executing strategic initiatives and streamlining internal workflows
  • Maintain dashboards, reports, and internal documents for operational tracking and process improvements.
  • Support internal cross-functional departments by documenting workflows, improving handoffs, and reducing inefficiencies.

Financial & Analytical Tasks

  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect and analyze metrics, and KPIs.
  • Help create and review internal business reports such as SWOT analyses, cost breakdowns, and forecast summaries.
  • Communication & Project Management

  • Interface with third-party vendors , ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and contractual terms.
  • Coordinate internal communications and help manage key deliverables, timelines, and priorities across operational teams.
  • Prepare executive summaries, presentation materials, and ad hoc reports for leadership meetings.
  • CRM & Documentation

  • Support data integrity and usage in internal CRM platforms, helping to maintain contact records, call notes, and pipeline data.
  • Assist in documentation of client engagement processes, templates, and reports for internal and external use.
  • Qualifications : Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate operations, investment banking, sales, or financial analysis environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel; familiarity with financial modeling concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
