Software DSP Engineer - MUOS

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking a Software DSP Engineer for their MUOS team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing, testing and sustaining specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. Not only does our client maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replace end of life components.

Required Skills

• Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire (active Secret is preferred at time of hire)
• Requires a Bachelor-s degree in STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Agile experience preferred.
• Ability to execute the DSP development process
• Knowledge of DSP and communications theory
• Signals and Systems, FFTs, FIR filters, convolution, correlation, etc.
• Communications or modem design and development
• C / C++ and MATLAB, NumPy, Python, Gnu Radio or X-MIDAS
• High performance computing
• High speed (100G+) networking, switch setup, selecting switch, NIC and transceiver components
• IP networking, DPDK and MPI
• Linux system administration, server set up and tuning for DSP
• USRP hardware
• Spectrum analyzer measurements
