Job Description
This role is responsible for learning all aspects of sample analysis, interpretation of results and explanation of data to customers. This position will diagnose laboratory data, provide technical support to client needs and keeping abreast with industry standards / trends.
Job Functions
- Analyze samples to identify signs of wear, contamination, and potential equipment failures.
- Diagnose the root cause of equipment problems based on analysis results and other condition monitoring data.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance recommendations based on OCM findings.
- Track trends in analysis data and identify opportunities for program improvement.
- Liaise with clients (maintenance, operations, engineering) to communicate OCM findings and to provide recommendations on sampling techniques, frequency and other items to facilitate the fluid analysis program.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in testing, analysis and condition monitoring technologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for OCM within the organization.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Assist in the development of auto-diagnostic tables and commentary
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in used oil analysis technologies through conferences and publications
