Summary
Provides occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of an OT. These services include structured assessments, contributions to OT treatment plan development, treatment, family education, and documentation, in order to increase patients’ functional independence.
Professional competency in the delivery of occupational therapy treatment under the direction of an OT, as defined by certification and licensure; interpersonal skills that promote cooperative patient and peer behavior; accurate written and verbal English language skills; accurate observation skills; ability to identify age appropriate functional tasks for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
