Manufacturing Estimator

Position Overview :

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc., is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of custom machine bases for vibration sensitive production tools used in the semiconductor fabrication process. We are seeking an energetic meticulous and analytical Estimator to join our team.

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in determining accurate and competitive pricing for our products and services, ensuring profitability while meeting customer needs and market demands. You will collaborate closely with various departments including sales, engineering, production, procurement, and install to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive cost estimates for both existing product lines and new lines of business. Keen attention to detail and strategic mindset will be instrumental in optimizing pricing strategies and maximizing profitability for the company.

Key Responsibilities :

Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and project scopes to determine accurate cost estimates for high precision manufacturing projects.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for manufacturing and fabrication projects, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, production, procurement, and install teams to gather relevant data and insights for pricing analysis.
Conduct thorough cost breakdowns, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process.
Prepare detailed proposals, pricing quotations, and contract documents for submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Communicate pricing strategies, cost estimates, and pricing updates effectively to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Continuously improve pricing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and competitiveness.
Develop and maintain costing tools for estimating products across multiple product lines.

Qualifications :

3-5 Years proven experience in pricing, estimating, or cost analysis within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high precision manufacturing industry.

Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, business, or relevant industry experience.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, perform cost analysis, and develop accurate cost estimates.

Proficiency in using pricing models, financial analysis tools, and ERP software to support pricing decisions and cost estimation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and interact with clients.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strategic mindset with a focus on driving profitability, optimizing pricing strategies, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management principles.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

High ethical standards and integrity in dealing with sensitive pricing information and client relationships.

Work Environment :

Office located at company headquarters in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Occasional visits to shop floor where PPE is required.
