The Environmental Compliance Manager plays a key role in supporting the Area Environmental Manager in overseeing environmental compliance and permitting activities across more than 12 states within a designated geographic area. This position helps ensure consistent adherence to environmental regulations, drives operational excellence, and fosters a proactive compliance culture through collaboration and hands-on engagement. - Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of compliance experience
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations and agencies in OR, WA, AK, and ID.
- Experience supporting implementation of regulatory requirements and corrective actions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed environment.

Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.Experience in retail, grocery, distribution, or manufacturing sectors.Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and regulations related to GHG emissions and refrigerant management.Experience supporting large-scale environmental programs across multiple sites.Exposure to EPA Regions 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 or relevant state agencies.Proficiency with environmental management systems or compliance tracking tools.Support the management of environmental compliance programs across retail stores, manufacturing sites, fulfillments centers and, distribution centers ensuring consistent execution of regulatory requirements.Assist with air permitting processes, including data collection, documentation, and reporting to meet federal, state, and local requirements.Translate complex environmental regulations into actionable guidance for facility teams.Participate in audits, inspections, and risk assessments; assist in developing and implementing corrective actions.Provide direct support to facility leaders, supervisors, hourly associates, and contractors to maintain compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed environmental requirements into daily operations.Assist in communications with regulatory agencies during inspections, reporting, and enforcement actions.Monitor environmental performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Help develop and deliver training programs on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.Stay informed on evolving environmental regulations and agency expectations in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Idaho.Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
