Direct Support Professional

Hours :

• (40 hours total) Wednesdays 5pm-9pm / Wednesdays- Fridays 9pm-9am  Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including group homes and assisted living facilities.
• The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through patient care, meal preparation, and the implementation of personalized care plans.
• This role requires a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and a passion for working with people with disabilities.
• Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence and personal growth for each client.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to patient care.
• Experience Previous experience in patient care or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices in patient confidentiality.
• Experience in meal preparation and understanding of dietary needs is beneficial.
• Knowledge of assisted living environments or group home operations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A background in nursing or related healthcare fields is advantageous but not required.
