Project Manager II - Nuclear Plant Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager II to oversee capital project scopes of work at one of two nuclear plants : Prairie Island and Monticello. This role involves managing nuclear plant modifications, equipment replacements, and facility upgrades. The candidate will be responsible for deploying individuals to projects and managing license extensions from 60 to 80 years, while also taking on capital work and asset depreciation.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate with stakeholders, including the maintenance organization and engineering department, to implement projects.
• Conduct weekly meetings, vendor sourcing, and contract initiation and management.
• Monitor project financials, escalate concerns, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Engage in risk management and present proposals to gain approvals for authorization.
• Conduct field / plant observation and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment :

This is a non-remote, onsite role with occasional remote work as approved by the reporting manager. The position involves desk work with field / plant visits for observation. Standard work hours are 40 hours per week, with potential for pre-authorized overtime. During outages, a minimum of 60 hours per week is expected, with 12-hour days, 6-7 days per week. The work environment is highly collaborative and supportive, with exposure to leadership and access to the latest tools and technologies. Some travel may be required, with costs reimbursed. Job Type & Location :

This is a contract position based out of Monticello, MN.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
