Job Description
An employer is looking for a Technical Editor and Writer in the Huntsville, AL area. The selected candidate will write, rewrite and / or edit technical and programmatic documents, technical procedure manuals, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Writing, rewriting and / or editing documents such as technical reports and technical key proposal artifacts.
- Ensuring documents are written using correct applicable templates, properly formatting text, and ensuring proper use of punctuation and grammar.
- Updating existing templates as required; overseeing the preparation of illustrative materials, and selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.
- Conducting quality reviews of materials.
- Acquiring subject knowledge by attending technical and other review boards, interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, and referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
