ER RN Job Details

Location : Memphis, TN 38116 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Facility Type : Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care Hospital

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 5 / 2026 – End : 4 / 6 / 2026)

Shift : 4x12-hour day shifts per week (11 : 00 AM – 11 : 00 PM or 1 : 00 PM – 1 : 00 AM; schedule may vary)

Weekly Hours : 48 hours required

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780-$1910

On-Call : As needed

Weekend / Holiday Coverage : As needed

Orientation : 16 hours

ER RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Level I Trauma Center experience required)

At least 1 completed previous travel nurse assignment

Valid driver’s license required with application

Ability to work 48 hours per week

Experience in large hospital settings preferred

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Travel nurses must reside at least 100 miles from facility

No first-time travelers unless over 3 years of recent ER nursing experience

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department

Respond rapidly to trauma and critical care cases

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR (preferred)

Float between similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
