MacKillop Family Services is looking for passionate individuals to join our Out of Home Care team supporting children and young people with complex needs in a safe therapeutic residential setting. As a Residential Youth Care Worker youll help create a warm home environment respond to emotional and daily needs and support young people to build life skills and confidence.

There are part time and casual opportunities based throughout our Wimmera Southwest region within our Out of Home Care Program. This position reports to the Regional Coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria :

To be successful in this role you will have :

• A Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention or if you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services Social Work or another related tertiary qualification youre also encouraged to apply.
• A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
• Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner.
• Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety stability and consistency.
