Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry and more.
Essential Job Functions :
- Quality Develop and implement, with every job or project, a personal quality process that will ensure that all items required by the sales design package have been included in the job cutlist. Specifically, all components purchased by the customer are included and all required machining, special orders, etc. are accurately specified.
- Productivity Consistently produce a minimum of $30,000 in jobs per day and is expected to continually seek methods for improving his / her daily output.
- Continuous Improvement Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude towards meeting and surpassing customer expectations. Customers include : The Manufacturing Department, the Installation Department, and the Client. Continuously seek out improved methods for reducing time to complete jobs, ensuring the highest quality, and that all customer expectations have been met or surpassed.
- Attendance Expected to arrive at work on-time and to minimize time away from his / her workstation. All employees are required to take the prescribed Breaks and Lunch periods, as defined by Departmental schedules.
- Comply with all company policies and standards of behavior and performance.
Job Responsibilities :
CAD Operations / Cutlisting :
- Review incoming sales designs to ensure intended spaces are compliant with Closets by Design product offerings and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and communicate design compliance opportunities to Sale Management team.
- Complete the production design package in a time frame that is consistent with company standards.
- Provide pricing support as required to ensure jobs are valued correctly.
Production / Installation :
Help establish design standards to drive production and installation product quality and efficiency.
Work collaboratively with Production and Installation teams to develop solutions for repeated service issues.
Minimum Preferred Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College training is preferred.
- Familiarity with MS Office and related software : Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Drafting or CAD software design experience preferred.
- Wood fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred.
Abilities Required :
- Intermediate or above experience with Microsoft Excel.
