Sunrise Services is seeking a Medical Billing Supervisor!

Oversee the operations within the Accounting Departmentto include Medical Billingand Accounts Receivable.Manage the staff, processesand outcomes of this specific area within the Accounting Department.

Essential Functions :   (Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job)

  • Manage the company’s medical billing and accounts receivable functions for all behavioral health services.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, interview, hire, orient, train, assign, evaluate, and manage the performance and behavior of staff members on the Medical Billing team within the Accounting Department.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, develop appropriate short term and long term objectives, strategies, standards, and performance evaluations for the staff members on the Medical Billing team within the Accounting Department.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, provide direction, coaching and training to all staff members on the Medical Billing team within the Accounting Department.
  • Oversight of all day to day functions of medical billing of all behavioral health services.
  • Ensure that all tasks in Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable for all behavioral health services are completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as a working supervisor who produces work in the Accounting Department.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, ensure that Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable for all behavioral health systems have appropriate and effective internal controls.
  • Ensure that all internal and external customers receive timely, proactive, and professional customer service.
  • Work in collaboration with the Accounting Supervisor – Financial Reporting and the Accounting Supervisor – Operations.
  • Provide support, training and direction to behavioral health staff regarding all tasks that must be completed to properly bill for behavioral health services.
  • Work in collaboration with the staff and management of the behavioral health team.

Essential Requirements :   (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related field. Five years of accounting experience may be substituted for education.
  • Experience : 2 years of accounting experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Licensure / Certification : Certified Professional Coder, Certified Professional Biller or equivalent or above
  • Other Considerations : Knowledge of billing matrix.Operate complex math and accounting functions.Knowledge of and ability to utilize Sage and Credible software, and Microsoft software products (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to learn other software as needed.Very strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Organization, time-management, prioritization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Schedule :

    Monday - Friday, day shift.

    Compensation :

  • 30.98- $43.40 / hour
  • 64,438.40 - $90,272.00 / year
  • Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications / licensure.
