Job Description :

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in Augusta, ME.  In this role the APP will be responsible for performing front-end, rapid evaluations of patients in conjunction with the triage nurse to facilitate care.  The experienced candidate must be able to make rapid decisions about care.

Join a team of 20 physicians and 7 physician assistants

24 / 7 Emergency Department with an annual volume of 55,000 patients

Schedule consists of 4, 8-hour shifts per week

Requirements :

Successful completion of an accredited APP program

Active Maine Advanced Practitioner's license

BLS / ACLS / PALS certifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in an ED setting

Certifications :

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Maine State Board of Nursing
