Tax Staff - Public

Description We are looking for a dedicated Tax Staff member to join our dynamic CPA firm in Lincoln, Nebraska. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team environment while providing top-tier accounting and tax services to individuals and small businesses. You will play a key role in helping clients navigate complex financial matters and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist clients in developing effective tax planning strategies and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Deliver accounting and bookkeeping services, including the preparation of financial statements.
• Offer guidance on business operations, financial planning, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive and high-quality service.
• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx and other tools to efficiently manage tax preparation processes.
• Conduct client intake and gather necessary information to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and maintain high-quality standards.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to provide up-to-date advice to clients. Requirements
• Active CPA license preferred, but motivated new CPAs are also encouraged.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate tax returns.
• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx and other tax preparation software.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and planning strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
