Salary : $130,000 - $166,000, depending on experience. Significant bonus based on billable hours is possible, as well.

Initial assignments will include the following project areas :
- Support federal standards advocacy work, including federal and state appliance standards and test procedures. Work may also involve advocacy for products and equipment requirements as part of state and national building codes.
- Provide project management and technical support for market transformation efforts.
Responsibilities include :
Be a trusted advisor to our clients by providing pragmatic advice based on defensible data and analysisContribute to multiple projects including technical research, client engagement, subcontractor management, and external stakeholder engagementPlan and direct primary and secondary research to support new and updated federal and state appliance standards and test proceduresDevelop and oversee laboratory testing, including developing test plans and procuring laboratory time and equipmentFoster coalition-building, negotiations, and collaborations with industry and efficiency advocates, including through groups like AHRI, AHAM, NEMA, or AMCAEnsure high-quality deliverables, including reports and presentationsRequired Qualifications and Competencies :
Bachelors degree in engineering isrequired; bachelors degree in mechanical engineering is preferred; higher degrees such as masters or Ph.D. can substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience8+ years of relevant experienceDirect experience developing and conducting laboratory or field research for end-use technologiesConsulting mindset : comfort contributing to complex projects with a problem-solving orientation that prioritizes client needsHighest ethical standardsAbility to distill complex technical findings into accessible summaries, tailor content to diverse stakeholders, and maintain consistency and rigor across multi-section documents with multiple contributorsStrong organizational and project management skills, with experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams to manage timelines and deliverablesAbility to collaborate well with people at all levels within an organizationGreat initiative, creativity, and curiosity; work well both on your own and as part of teamExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong attention to detailConfidence, enthusiasm, humility, and discretionDesire and ability to work remotely.
