The Registered Nurse (Integrated Care Management) within the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC) functions as an advisor, administrator, educator, consultant, and mentor who possesses a wide range of experience and leadership ability. The incumbent provides expert leadership and oversight for daily clinical and administrative IVC operations at the local, regional, and national levels.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Collaborating with leaders and key stakeholders at all levels of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) - Facility, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN), and Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) for mutual achievement of VHA and program office goals.
- Establishing successful collaborative relationships with other Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities, VISN, and VHA program offices involved in these oversight functions and building effective partnerships to increase organizational cohesiveness across healthcare functions.
- Assisting the facility and VISN leadership with healthcare operations and the functions and activities expected of them.
- Contributing ideas and recommendations to spread best practices across the organization and conducting ongoing consultative and educational activities both at the VISN, regional, and facility levels.
- Developing, organizing, and directing clinical and non-clinical operational aspects with an added emphasis on delivering services where it is needed.
- Routinely analyzing plans and actions related to practice, quality and safety issues to identify and improve performance and attain national outcomes for Veteran healthcare
- Providing guidance and oversight of national program management to ensure proper resource utilization.
- Providing the Veteran's family, caregiver and / or significant other, the Veteran's representative, visitors to VA facilities, all VA staff, and other customers with consistent information according to established policies and procedures.
- Protecting printed and electronic files containing sensitive data in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 and other applicable laws, federal regulations, VA statutes and policy, and VHA policy.
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 00AM to 3 : 30PM.
