JOB SUMMARY
Manage the development coordination and implementation of independent living and new development marketing plans. Collaborates with Health Services marketing to ensure that the integrity of the continuum marketing message is achieved. Drive the creative execution process off all sales and marketing materials. Develop social media content write compelling copy for various platforms and lead the video production process from concept to final delivery. Responsible for research data collection review and interpretation related to marketing initiatives and tactics. Lead event planning coordination and implementation. Lead develop and oversee the execution of the internal and external communication efforts. Responsible for shaping and maintaining the organizations voice across all channels ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment. Supportive of the Village mission values and service / hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. Completes training hours as required by policy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop manage and execute the marketing plans for IL and new development projects.
- Responsible for measuring KPIs and calculating ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Serves as key liaison and project manager with an in-house design team freelancers or outside vendors to develop promotional materials.
- Develop marketing materials to assist retirement consultants in the sales process.
- Manage and implement content for social media and other digital campaigns crafting persuasive engaging and brand-consistent copy including creating original posts engaging with audiences and staying on top of industry trends.
- Manage the website content for independent living.
- Oversee the competitive analysis on a regular basis.
- Works with the health services marketing division to ensure strong collaboration and provide a cohesive marketing and brand message for IL marketing and promotes continuity throughout the continuum at John Knox Village
- Take the lead on video content creation conceptualizing ideas writing scripts collaborating with production teams and ensuring the final product is of the highest quality.
- Promotes the Village image and brand in all marketing and advertising materials media and events in support of the Villages strategic plan business goals vision mission and values.
- Develop and implement effective internal and external communication strategies.
- Manage and maintain brand messaging across all channels (press social media website newsletters etc.).
- Draft and edit press releases speeches articles and other communications materials.
- Act as a media liaisonbuild and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Monitor analyze and report on media coverage and campaign performance.
- Manage crisis communications and provide strategic counsel to leadership.
- Supervise and support communications staff freelancers or external agencies.
- Stay up to date with communication trends tools and technologies.
- Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
- Handles stress well and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers outside the department.
- Maintains acceptable standards of workplace conduct.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Bachelors degree in marketing communications or related field required. Will consider four or more years of related experience in lieu of degree.Licenses / Certifications
A valid drivers license is required.Knowledge and Skills (required unless otherwise noted) :
Excellent project management skills : Organized and deadline focused.Work experience in senior living preferred.Detailed oriented analytical & methodical with strong quantitative skills.Strong team player : highly responsive and excellent communicator.Ability to work in matrixed organizations and partner with coworkers across multiple functions.Ability to create clarity and focus from ambiguity.Demonstrated excellent communication organization negotiating and problem-solving skills.Must be self-directed requiring minimal supervision.Comply with ethical standards of practice.Demonstrates excellence in education coordination and communication skills.Advanced keyboarding skills are required.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications such as Excel Word Access and PowerPoint are required.Advanced level of marketing database management systems strongly preferred.Advanced customer service skills.Advanced level understanding of design and graphics.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the public.Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations is required.Ability to apply business math such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.Experience
Five plus years in marketing communications and / or advertising required.Experience working in or with an advertising agency or in-house advertising / marketing department preferred.Excellent writing editing and verbal communication skillsExperience with media relations and crisis communication.Experience in the senior living / healthcare industry is preferred.SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
