Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide strategic counsel, vision, and leadership in identifying, evaluating, and implementing financial strategies for a leading Utilities / Energy client. This role goes beyond traditional FP&A, developing unique methods and solutions for highly complex financial challenges with intangible variance factors. You will lead financial evaluations, manage projects, and guide analysts while ensuring future financial needs are met.
Responsibilities include : providing strategic financial counsel and expert consultation to senior leadership and business area leaders; overseeing the gathering, analysis, and presentation of current and future financial trends and performance; leading complex financial evaluations, confidential studies, and scenario modeling for annual budgets and multi-year forecasts; developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems, exercising independent judgment and interpreting accounting guidance; managing projects, implementing process improvements, and delivering business solutions that drive operational and financial excellence; directing and reviewing the work of Financial Analysts, providing mentorship and leadership; and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between Finance and Operations.
Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; MBA, CPA, CFA preferred. Experience in financial accounting, reporting, or analysis; advanced skills in Microsoft Office; strong financial and economic modeling expertise; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau); ability to manipulate large datasets and translate complex data into actionable insights; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP S / 4HANA strongly preferred); and proven experience bridging Finance and Operations teams. Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors. Pay Range : $45-$65 / hr.
