Job Summary : The Material Handling Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of material handling installation projects. This position coordinates the start of an installation through project completion. We are seeking someone who is an effective communicator, organized, and demonstrates critical thinking.
Job Responsibilities
- Management of Projects
- Communication between customers, subcontractors and end users
- Maintain project schedules, time lines and budget
- Site visits as required
- Prepare project schedules and provide regular updates to all stakeholders
- Obtain firm commitments on lead times for all materials
- Review approved manufacturer and installation drawings with customer and subcontractor
- Review requirements with installation team prior to project start date
- Collaborate with other team members to review current projects
- Acquire customer sign-off on job requirements, dates, specifications, completion
- Schedule rental equipment when needed, check billing for accuracy and approve for payment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust possess valid Driver’s LicenseAttention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work over 40 hours per week and occasional availability for weekend installation callsAbility to manage several projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionEnthusiasm for representing the MHIG brand and delivering superior customer serviceKnowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to read blue prints and / or technical drawingsFamiliarity with AutoCAD is a plusTravel
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time. Occasional site visits may be required.
It may be necessary to drive to local job sites also. This is less than 10% of the time.
