ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work on cardiac telemetry unit with 25 beds maintaining 4 : 1 patient ratios

    • \n

  • Day shift includes 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, and 2-3 Techs

    • \n

  • Night shift includes 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, and 1 Tech

    • \n

  • Work every 3rd weekend (Friday and Saturday 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM) plus an additional Friday or Saturday each schedule

    • \n

  • Help required for Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night

    • \n

  • Must have telemetry experience and ability to read EKGs

    • \n

  • Ability to handle fast-paced unit with frequent admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures

    • \n

  • Set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing conditions

    • \n

  • Make appropriate and timely notifications to physicians regarding patient condition changes

    • \n

  • Perform typical procedures including PD and EKGs

    • \n

  • Work with equipment including EKG machines, Hoyer lifts, and LifePak devices

    • \n

  • Use Meditech EMR system

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS and ACLS

    • \n

  • Navy scrubs required for dress code

    • \n

  • Low probability of floating to Med Surg units

    • \n

  • Must be a team player with positive attitude

    • \n\n

    This healthcare facility features a comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit located on the third floor of the main hospital building. The facility provides specialized cardiac care services with most cardiac procedures performed in a dedicated catheterization laboratory. The organization maintains modern medical equipment and utilizes electronic medical record systems to support quality patient care and efficient operations.
