Purpose for the Position :
To perform a combination of tasks, which maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

Essential Responsibilities :
Moves and arranges furniture.Turns mattresses as required.Hang draperies as required.Dusts furniture and equipment.Polishes metalwork and furniture.Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closets.Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.Refurbishes room with supplies, towels, etc. as required.Supplies own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.May deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll-a-way beds to guest rooms.May clean swimming pool.May remove debris, clean driveways and garage areas.Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.Transports trash and waste to disposal area.Replaces light bulbs.All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisorSkills and Abilities :
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.Ability to perform repetitive motions; lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.Flexible availability to work any shift / day, including holidays and weekends.Comfortable with using a radio to communicate with the front desk and housekeeping supervisors.Physical Demands : Heavy work. Exerting up to 50-100 pounds of force occasionally.
Requirements :
High School completion, or an equivalent level of education and experience.Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.This position requires a hands-on approach (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and handle objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). You will be on your feet and moving with purpose (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time).
