Primary Role :
Working in concert with the Superintendent and campus administrators in planning, organizing,
administrating, leading, coaching, innovating and managing the Elementary and Secondary academic programs, including other campus support programs. Provides direct coaching to campus administrators and other support staff as needed. This position assists all programs and people, grades PreK-12.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree in education administration required
Texas Principal’s certification is required
Texas Administrator’s certificate preferred
Minimum five years of Principal experience
Knowledge and Skills
Principles and practices of public charter school administration, including :
Knowledge and skills in identifying opportunities for growth and development at all levels of
school administration
Ability to collaborate with teams toward student growth and professional capacity building, and
knowledge of best practices in the field and research
Ability to present ideas clearly verbally and in writing
Skills in effective planning, organizing, assigning, and coordinating the activities of a professional and support staff, including team building, personnel evaluations, and feedback delivery
Skills in supervision to facilitate student growth and achievement
Techniques for creative and effective issue resolution
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members
and community members
Understanding of important statutes and policies germane to State of Texas public schools and Charter School
Ability to read and interpret data to inform instructional planning, programming, and strategies
Knowledge of latest instructional techniques, concepts and tools including but not limited to
Understanding by Design and High Reliability Schools
Strong understanding of State of Texas public school accountability measures
Track record of marshaling district resources effectively to support student achievement and
growth
Facility with software and systems used for planning, tracking and assessment
School Leadership and Student Services
Support administrative and instructional teams in the planning and implementation of schools’
programs as well as assessment programs and protocols.
Conduct on-going analysis to ensure that programs are working as designed to facilitate student
achievement and progress with sufficient curricular, technology supports for instructional
personnel.
Mentor, supervise, and assist principals and assistant principals in the development of specific
plans to meet identified school targets in related areas (e.g. CCMR, SEL); assist in determining
and acquiring support services.
Collaborate with individual principals in planning the necessary time, resources, and materials to support the accomplishment of campus and district goals.
Provide leadership to identified populations such as special education, emergent bilingual and

Work closely with the state and federal grants coordinator on appropriate programming, allocation
and spending of funds and compliance.
Encourage and support the development of innovative programs that support both short-term
and long-term goals.
Model School mission, vision and goals to the campuses and community.
Support principals as they recruit, train, and supervise personnel and make sound
recommendations relative to personnel placement, assignment, and retention.
Ensure effective school leadership through the support of principals. Coordinate plans and
resources for the training and professional growth of those individuals.
Assist building principals through a process of continuous assessment for the purpose of school
improvement and monitor the progress of schools towards established goals.
Plan for delivery of professional development for instructional staff to educate and promote
school priorities.
Policy, Reports, and Law
Implement policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in school leadership, student services and all related areas.
Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other documents required.
Working with the Superintendent, support any legal and or policy matters related to areas under
supervision
Budget
Provide guidance to principals with determining budgets and cost estimates that are aligned
with documented program needs and that best capitalize on disparate federal, state, and local
funding sources
Partner with the finance team annually to establish school budgets for the upcoming year
Monitor budgets at least quarterly and work with district staff to manage spending toward
student priorities and to make necessary amendments
Community Relations and Communications
Monitor professional research and strategies and disseminate ideas and information to other
professionals.
Articulate the district’s mission, instructional philosophy, and curriculum implementation
strategies to the community and solicit its support.
Assist in communicating information to parents and staff members as necessary.
Professional Growth and Development
Find and utilize opportunities for personal professional growth to improve professional skills and
knowledge.
Participate in professional organizations and user communities. Identify trends and
opportunities to solve problems at school. Disseminate ideas and information to the appropriate
school staff members.
Other
Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Attend campus events as support for campus administration and representation for the district,
including monthly School Board meetings.
Professional Responsibilities
Exemplify through manner, words, and dress the high standards and expected behavior of the
school.
Identify and creatively coordinate the use of available human, facility, and financial resources to
achieve the school’s mission and goals.
Build consensus around common objectives, including’ mission.
Provide substantive input and ideas for facilities planning.
Communicate regularly with the Superintendent through weekly 1x1 meetings.
Provide weekly updates at the Senior Staff meetings.

Compensation and Benefits :
The salary range for the Role is $64,044 to $76,832.
