Position Summary

The Home Health Administrative Assistant is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S / he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Home Health Administrative Assistant combines organizational skills, effective communication, and attention to detail to facilitate administrative processes and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. S / he facilitates the communication functions of the business office and provides clerical support.

Position Specific Responsibilities

• Provides clerical support which may include preparation of admission, monitoring and ordering office supplies and forms, typing, special projects, filing, and copying.
• Facilitates the communication systems which may include mail distribution, pagers, phone system, memos, answers incoming calls, documents, and disseminates appropriate messages.
• Provides computer support and data entry.
• Serves as a point of contact for patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers, providing information, addressing inquiries, and relaying messages to the appropriate staff.
• Maintains organized storage areas for supplies and equipment.
• Schedules and organizes meetings, conferences, and training sessions for agency staff.
• Prepares meeting materials, agendas, and minutes as required.
• Ensures the cleanliness and organization of office spaces.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment : The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
