Senior Machine Learning Engineer, NLU & Agentic AI

Machine Learning | San Francisco, CA | Full Time

As a member of the NLU team, you will have access to modern NLP and NLG tools, including best-in-class LLMs, multimodal foundation models, and hybrid vector databases. You will also work with infrastructure to fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy models in production. Our data-centric team provides support through a world-class annotation team to build high-quality, inclusive, and privacy-preserving datasets.

You will go beyond model training to achieve state-of-the-art AI performance, focusing on accuracy, latency, reliability, and overall system capability. Success involves designing and evolving complex AI systems and their components, not just training models.

Our team emphasizes speed, solving challenging engineering problems, and delivering value to customers. Your work will directly impact our goal to understand enterprise issues and develop the most reliable copilot, in close collaboration with other teams at Moveworks.

Responsibilities

• Address challenging problems in conversational agents, including cognitive architecture, multimodal and multilingual agents, memory management, reasoning strategies, and fine-tuning LLMs for enterprise reasoning and tool use.
• Advance our responsible AI initiatives by expanding infrastructure for fairness, safety, privacy, and security.
• Design new algorithms and architectures, evaluate through experiments, and deploy solutions at scale.
• Research and develop scalable, innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Leverage latest ML and LLM advances to enhance products and user experiences.
• Engage with current ML research and open-source models regularly.
