Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with the Chief Business Officer to develop and oversee the district's annual budget, ensuring alignment with educational priorities, revenue projections, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for the superintendent, school board, and other stakeholders, providing insights into the district's financial performance and trends.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making and multiyear planning processes.
  • Develop and recommend financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to the superintendent, school board, and district leadership, ensuring alignment with best practices, legal requirements, and industry standards.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements, including tax filings, grant reporting, and financial disclosures.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate fiscal services staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while providing leadership and mentorship to develop staff competencies and expertise.
