6-Month initial Contract
Soni is seeking a Workday HCM Consultant for a 6-month contract to own and optimize the global Workday Core HR module. This role serves as the functional SME responsible for configuration, enhancements, release management, and governance. The consultant will partner closely with HR Operations, HR COEs, and IT to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions that ensure global compliance and a strong employee experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Workday HCM Consultant :
- Own and administer Workday Core HR functionality, including Core Compensation, Onboarding, and security.
- Lead hands-on configuration, enhancements, and deployment of new Workday capabilities.
- Manage Workday biannual releases, including feature evaluation, regression testing, and rollout.
- Serve as SME for Core HR data architecture, job structures, organizations, and worker data.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, compliant Workday solutions.
- Oversee Workday security administration, including role creation, access governance, and compliance alignment.
- Maintain system documentation, process flows, and configuration guides.
- Drive demand intake and prioritization for Core HR enhancements.
- Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and global governance across Core HR processes.
- Identify automation and optimization opportunities using Workday best practices.
- Act as primary decision-maker for Core HR configuration and solution design.
Qualifications of the Workday HCM Consultant :
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline.5+ years HRIS experience, including 4+ years hands-on Workday Core HCM configuration.Expertise in Core HR foundations : organizations, positions, job profiles, security, and worker data.Strong experience with Workday release management and testing cycles.Advanced proficiency in Core HCM, security, Core Compensation, Onboarding, BPs, Condition Rules, and Calculated Fields.Experience supporting global HR environments.Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Workday Sandbox, and testing tools.Strong Excel skills and analytical capabilities.Preferred : Experience with global HR operations and governance, driving adoption of new Workday features, and strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Compensation : $65 to $75 per hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
