Machine Operator

Set up machines for production, both within PLC and with mechanical parameters. Identify and diagnose quality issues, finding root causes of problems. Make mechanical adjustments to equipment including conveying systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust mechanical printing and forming machines for paper and plastic bags.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and make necessary changes to equipment to ensure product flows smoothly and finished product meets standards.
  • Perform maintenance and adjustments on conveying systems and other equipment.
  • Operate press and printing machines efficiently and safely.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with mechanical machine operating such as mold press, injection molding, press operating, or CNC.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in machine operation, maintenance, and quality troubleshooting.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Track record of being mechanically inclined through interests, hobbies, or previous jobs.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to get to the root cause of issues.

    Work Environment

    The facility produces both paper and plastic bags, managing both forming and printing processes. It maintains a clean, climate-controlled environment with a dedicated team running each machine. Extensive training is provided to accommodate the learning curve associated with machine operations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.25 - $25.25 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
